Description
A black cormorant perches at the top of a weathered, gray branch against a clear blue sky. It holds its beak open as if capturing a breath or calling out, revealing its yellow-orange throat. Cormorants are large black waterbirds. They can often be seen near river, lakes amd coastal areas. Fish is its primary source of food and it is an expet at snaring fish, I took this photograph at Big Cypress National Preserve in the Florida Everglades.
