The Red-shouldered hawk is a member of the genus Buteo, a group of medium-sized raptors with robust bodies and broad wings.Red-shouldered hawks feed on a variety of prey, primarily small rodents, amphibians, and reptiles, and small/young waterfowl.. I took this photograph on the gumbo limbo trail in the everglades.
I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and lived in Europe for two years. My paintings are influenced by my travels and are a reflection of my personality and style. My love of nature, animals and music is reflected in much of my work.
