The Purple gallinule is a medium-sized swamphen native to the Americas. It belongs to the rail family that includes crakes, coots, and gallinules. I took this photograph at Anhinga Trail.

I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and lived in Europe for two years. My paintings are influenced by my travels and are a reflection of my personality and style. My love of nature, animals and music is reflected in much of my work. I earned a Bachelors Degree from Florida International University and now spend much of my time painting in my studio.I enjoy the visual arts and recently added my photographs to my gallery.
