The great white heron is unique to south Florida and the Florida Keys. Nesting occurs throughout the year, with a pronounced peak between November and February. I took this photograph near Shark Valley in the Everglades,At the end of every bath session, they do an extensive preen, then finish off their scrub down with a big yawn.
I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and lived in Europe for two years. My paintings are influenced by my travels and are a reflection of my personality and style. My love of nature, animals and music is reflected in much of my work. I earned a Bachelors Degree from Florida International University and now spend much of my time painting in my studio.I enjoy the visual arts and recently added my photographs to my gallery.
